MSC Scholarship Awards Program 2008

Scholarships will be awarded to four MSC junior member riders that have not reached their 18th birthday by December 1, 2007. Riders must compete in both an Equitation division and a Hunter division to be eligible. Points will be accumulated per horse or pony and rider combination.

Eligible members must fill out a 2008 application. (Applications are available in the MSC book and at the show office during the shows).
All applicants must submit a handwritten essay, describing their goals for their college education by November 1, 2008, and must maintain a 2.5 grade point average for the year (may submit your current year- end report card or home schooling certificate).

Four hours of volunteer work are required by each applicant, for the MSC Board at Horseshows or MSC functions or with the MTRA (Marion Therapeutic Riding Association). The scholarships will be awarded at the MSC 2008 Horseshow Year- End Banquet. Scholarships may be awarded to a junior member no more than two times.
